OUR STORE POLICIES

We founded F&M Marine with one goal in mind: giving our customers a fair, rewarding, and enjoyable shopping experience with the best of the best products available. Our store policies are detailed below and intended to assist you with getting the right product for your boating experience.

Return Policy

 

  1. If you’d like to return any product purchased on F&M Marine’s Online Store or Dealer, the return period is 14 days from the date of delivery.

  2. All returns must be in original and clean condition. Returns for used products – including opened and installed, damaged, scratched – will not be accepted.

  3. All products must be returned in their original packaging with proof of purchase and an explanation of the reason for the return.

  4. Refunds will be denied for any product returned not conforming to the above mentioned conditions.


There are certain items we sell that are unable to be returned due to their specialized use or characteristics; refer to the list below for items that cannot be returned:

  • Any installed product

  • All gas, electric and trolling motors

  • Items that are registered such as boats, EPIRB, PLBs, SPOT, Class B AIS, and life rafts

  • All special orders

  • All hardware products

  • All electrical and electronic items

  • All hydraulic steerings and hydraulic steering spare parts

  • Any cut or customized items such as boat covers, cable, rope, hose, chain or rigging

  • Open computer software and electronic charts

  • Air conditioners, generators, and appliances


Return Policy Abuse
F&M Marine reserves the right to refuse service to anyone suspected of abusing any F&M Marine policy.


Refund Methods
Returns made within 14 days of purchase will be refunded to the original form of payment or F&M Marine Gift Card if requested.


Cash purchases over 100 € will be refunded to F&M Marine Gift Card.


Refund Return an Online Purchase
In Store: You may return your items at any F&M Marine store location with a receipt or order number. You can use your order confirmation email as proof of purchase for an in-store return.


F&M Marine will not pay for return shipping – customers are responsible for the cost of returning the product(s). Shipping fees will only be covered if the return is the result of a shipping error due to F&M Marine.

Our communications contain tracking technologies to gain valuable insight into behavior of recipients. With the help of these technologies, we can analyze whether a predefined action took place by a recipient, such as opening our communications, in order to better adapt and distribute our communications. Make a purchase through the Services. If you decide to participate in our research, or one of our surveys, sweepstakes, contests, or promotions, we will collect from you, your personal identifiers (name, address, email address, phone number) audio and/or visual information from your photographs or videos you submit as a necessary part of your participation in the contests (on some occasions through social media platforms), and your responses to the research, or one of our surveys, sweepstakes, contests, or promotions. We will use this information to organize the contest (on some occasions through social media platforms), analyze the participants’ interests, risks and behaviors to better service their needs, and to administer contests, sweepstakes and promotions. Please note that if you participate in a contest and submit content through a social media platform, the initial collection of the information is governed by the social media platform’s terms of service and privacy policy, and not the F&M Marine terms of use and this privacy policy.
Subscribe for email or mobile phone text messages. If you subscribe to our marketing emails, we will collect from you, your identifiers (name and email address) to fulfill your request to receive information we feel may be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicked on the “unsubscribe” link in each email. Please note that we will continue to send you notifications necessary to the Services, or requested products or services. Our communications contain tracking technologies to gain valuable insight into behavior of recipients. With the help of these technologies, we can analyze whether a predefined action took place by a recipient, such as opening our communications, in order to better adapt and distribute our communications. When you opt-in to our marketing communications, you are opting into the use of these technologies. You can disable tracking by disabling the display of images by default in your email program. If you opt-in to our text message program, we will collect your identifiers (name and telephone number). Please note that you must agree to our Text Message Program Terms of Services before you can participate in the Text Message Program. File a claim or participate in investigations regarding claims or losses. When you file any product liability, premises liability or other customer related claims, or participate in investigations regarding claims or losses, we will collect your identifiers (name, address, email address, west advantage number and phone number). The information is only used for processing the claim and/or participating in negotiations related to the claim.
Visit a store location. When you visit one of our store location we will collect through our security cameras a recording of your actions in the store. We use cameras in our stores for security purposes, loss prevention, and asset protection. We will not use cameras to personally identify you, without your consent, except when the identification is for security or law enforcement purposes.

B. Information Collected Automatically
We automatically receive and store certain types of information (described below) when you use F&M Marine website. Like many websites, we use cookies and other unique identifiers and we obtain certain types of information when your web browser or device accesses F&M Marine and other content served by or on behalf of F&M Marine on other websites.

We use this information to: (i) track you within the Services; (ii) enhance user experience; (iii) conduct analytics to improve the Services; (iv) prevent fraudulent use of the Services; and (v) diagnosis and repair Services errors, and, in cases of abuse, track and mitigate the abuse.
Particular cookies to note on the Services include:
Google Ads. We use Google Ads to deliver advertisements to you and to track whether you have interacted with an advertisement we have placed elsewhere on the internet. Google Ads stores a conversion tracking cookie on your device when you click on our advertisement. The information obtained through the cookie is used to generate statistics and allows us to see the total number of users who clicked on our advertisements. We also use Google Ads to present to users of our Website advertisements across the internet and within the Google advertising network based on their visits to our Website. Facebook Ads. We use Facebook Pixel to customize our advertising and to serve you ads on your social media based on your browsing behavior. This allows your behavior to be tracked after you have been redirected to our Website by clicking on the Facebook ad. The Facebook Pixel stores a cookie on your device to enable us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. We do not have access to the information collected through the Facebook Pixel.  However, the information collected via the Facebook Pixel, on the Websites as well as other websites on which Facebook Pixel is installed, is stored and processed by Facebook. Facebook may link this information to your Facebook account and use it for its own promotional purposes in accordance with Facebook's Data Policy. The Facebook Pixel also allows Facebook and its partners to show you advertisements on and outside of Facebook. To opt-out of this displaying of Facebook ads, visit your Facebook Ad Settings. Microsoft Ads. Microsoft Advertising is an analytics service provided by Microsoft Corporation that connects data from the Microsoft Advertising network with actions performed on the Website. Facebook may link this information to your Facebook account and use it for its own promotional purposes in accordance with Microsoft’s Privacy Policy.

In general, to disable cookies and limit the collection and use of information through them, you can set your browser to refuse cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent. When you opt-out an opt-out cookie will be placed on your device. The opt-out cookie is browser and device specific and will only last until cookies are cleared from your browser or device.


D. Social Media Access
We engage with current and prospective customers through multiple Internet Marketing Channels and social media services (e.g., Facebook, Instagram and TikTok). When you communicate with us via these social media or Internet Marketing Channels, we will collect your identifiers (name, user name and password) and internet and other electronic network activity information. If you contact us on one of our Internet Marketing Channels, request customer service via social media or otherwise direct us to communicate with you via social media, we may contact you via direct message or use other social media tools to interact with you. In these instances, your interactions with us are governed by this Policy as well as the privacy policy of the social media platform you use.
If you choose to access, link to, or log-in to our Websites or Internet Marketing Channels or otherwise communicate with us through a third-party social media service, you are granting us permission to access and use the information that you post or store on the applicable social media service in accordance with the privacy policy of that service and the privacy settings that are applicable to your account, and to store the user name and password you use to log-in to the applicable social media service. F&M Marine may share the personal information identified in this Privacy Notice in the following instances:
With service providers: We share your personal information with our service providers that assist us in providing the Services, such as our payment processors, IT support, order fulfillment and delivery providers and/or product vendors, website, email, and text message marketing providers, credit reporting agencies (if applicable), data analytics providers, geolocation service provider, cloud and hosting provider, and email provider.

These third-party service providers have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes. Further, they must process the personal information in accordance with this Privacy Notice and as permitted by applicable data protection laws.

Within F&M Marine: Where necessary, we share your personal information within F&M Marine for legitimate business purposes in order to efficiently carry out our business and to the extent permitted by law.

In the event of a corporate reorganization: In the event that we enter into, or intend to enter into, a transaction that alters the structure of our organization, such as a reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, joint venture, assignment, consolidation, transfer, change of control, or other disposition of all or any portion of our assets, we would share your personal information with third parties, including the buyer or target (and their agents and advisors) for the purpose of facilitating and completing the transaction. Marketing emails: You may opt-out of receiving marketing emails from us by clicking the “unsubscribe” link provided at the bottom of each email. Please note that we will continue to send you emails necessary to the Services or any assistance you request. NOTE: opting out of receiving promotional materials by e-mail may not affect your receipt of materials by mail. NOTE: If you register off-line (for example, by completing a registration form at one of our stores) and/or otherwise supply us with your postal address, you may receive periodic mailings from us (or other organizations with whom we share your information) about new products and services or upcoming events. Opt Out of Email Tracking: You can disable this tracking by blocking automatic loading of images in your email.

Marketing text messages: You may opt-out of receiving marketing text messages from us by responding “STOP” to any of our text messages.
